What happens at these hearings?

The judge may ask questions about the participant’s progress and discuss any problems he/she may be having. If participant is doing well, he/she could be rewarded with an incentive. If not doing well, the judge will discuss that with him/her and determine future action, which could include a sanction in order to help the participant remember their goals in the program. Sanctions can be anything from increased program requirements to jail time.
