Marriage licenses can be obtained from the Recorder's office located on the 1st floor at the Wright County Government Center. The application process can be time consuming. Please arrive at the Recorder's office by 4 pm to assure adequate time. If you would like to start the process, you may begin by completing an eMarriage Application at home or you can use the public terminals located in our office. We will print the application when you arrive to apply for the license. Both parties must appear in person to complete the application process.

On the Recorder's office home page under "Related Documents", click on "Torrens Property". There is a list of all the Torrens properties in our County. If your property is not listed then it is Abstract. NOTE: If your property is metes & bounds and contains a Section, Township and Range within the legal description you may want to contact our office to confirm whether or not it's Torrens. The cost for copies is $1.00 per page - mail a check with a self addressed return envelope to the Recorder's Office. Public users can register for our occasional remote access through Landshark and access real estate data, images and pay online 24/7.
You can go to our website (www.co.wright.mn.us), Land Records Search (Landshark), Public Users can register and create a username and password. Public Users can search by name or legal description and see document data. To view images you will have to enter credit card information and pay $1.00 fee per page plus $10.00 remote access fee 24/7. All military discharges are recorded in the Recorder's office, however, you must contact the Veteran's Services Office in order to facilitate the filing of your DD214 or obtain a certified copy of your DD214 that has been previously filed.
