A Message from the Wright County Highway Department:
County Road 107, from County State Aid Highway 6 to County State Aid Highway 12, is planned for a safety/maintenance construction project and a pavement preservation project this summer. The safety/maintenance project work on County Road 107 will be near the intersections of Emerson Avenue and Clementa Avenue. This work will include improving the sight distance to the west of Emerson Avenue and to the west of Clementa Avenue by lowering the profile of the road. Work will be done within the existing right-of-way of County Road 107.
The primary contractor for the safety/maintenance contract will be MSB Excavating of Howard Lake. This work is scheduled to begin Monday, June 5 and is anticipated to be completed by Friday, June 16, weather permitting.
The roadway will be closed at Emerson and at Clementa during the safety/maintenance project. Access to homes on Emerson and Clementa will be maintained. All other traffic will be asked to use alternate routes. The pavement preservation work on this contract includes removing the existing bituminous pavement; paving new layers of bituminous mixture; placement of shouldering material along the edges of the roadway; and painting new pavement markings on the highways.
The primary contractor for the pavement preservation contract is Knife River Corp. of Sauk Rapids. This work is scheduled to begin in July and is anticipated to be completed in August, weather permitting. Traffic for the pavement preservation project will be directed by flag people near and through the work zone. Please be prepared to expect minor delays during construction activity. A detour of traffic for this pavement preservation project will not be necessary.
