A Message from University of Minnesota Extension:
University of Minnesota Extension and the Minnesota Dairy Initiative have decided to postpone their Dairy Producers Night Out scheduled for tonight (March 9) at the American Legion in Howard Lake due to impending weather and night travel conditions. The event has been rescheduled to 7:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 23 at the Howard Lake American Legion (616 7th St.). The event is free and open to all dairy producers and a meal will be provided.
Jared Holt from Ascent Financial will be a featured speaker at the event and will share suggestions to how to begin planning for farm transition and options for reaching your farm transition goals. Holt will also participate in a panel discussion with area dairy producers sharing their experiences – both good and bad – with their farm transitions.
Registration is required for this rescheduled event and the deadline to register is Thursday, March 16. Register by contacting Extension Livestock Educator Karen Johnson at ande9495@umn.edu or calling (320) 484-4403 or Minnesota Dairy Initiative Coordinator Jill Zieroth at jzieroth@co.carver.mn.us or calling (952) 240-9993.
