A Message from the Wright County Assessor’s Office:
This is to inform Wright County township property owners that the Minnesota Department of Revenue has implemented State Board Orders for the 2022 assessment of property values payable in 2023 for certain property types located within Wright County. Despite the aggressive increases in valuation which were reflected on the Notices of Valuation and Classification mailed out last spring, the assessment for certain property types didn’t meet the statutory requirement for sales ratio set by the Minnesota Department of Revenue.
In order to meet the statutory requirement, Residential and Seasonal Recreational classified properties in the following township districts will see an increase of 5 percent on the land portion of their values – Albion, Chatham, Corinna, Maple Lake and Silver Creek Townships.
Property classified as Rural Vacant Land greater than 34.5 acres and Agricultural Land greater than 34.5 acres for the 2022 assessment will also see a 5 percent increase in land valuation in all county townships.
The adjustments were made administratively by the Wright County Assessor’s Office. The adjusted valuations will be reflected in the annual Truth in Taxation Statements that were mailed out this week for the Taxpayer Services Department. The county is not required to send additional notifications to affected property owners. The State Board adjusted values are not appealable.
