The Wright County Highway Department has been announced as the winner in a statewide evaluation of road projects. The award is given by the Minnesota Department of Transportation in cooperation with the Minnesota Asphalt Pavement Association. The project that Wright County won the award for is the CSAH 14 project between Hwy. 55 and Hwy. 12 in Rockford and Franklin Townships.
The department was presented with a Asphalt Paving Merit Award earlier this month as the winner in the County/Municipal Rural Resurface category. The award was acknowledged at Tuesday’s meeting of the Wright County Board of Commissioners. Knife River was the contractor on the project and was also presented with the award.
