The U.S Drought Monitor has released its weekly drought map of Minnesota and the expansion of the Severe Drought designation continues.
Wright County has three separate drought designations. The northern two thirds of the county is in the Abnormally Dry designation, while a strip that runs the length of the county is under the Moderate Drought designation. The southeast corner of the county is in the Severe Drought designations and includes Rockford, Delano, Montrose, Rockford Township, Franklin Township and Woodland Township.
