The Minnesota Department of Transportation has provided an update on the I-94 project between Hasty and Monticello.
Eastbound traffic on I-94 that has been diverted to the westbound lanes since late-April will return to the eastbound lanes starting Saturday, Aug. 13. The road will be three lanes throughout the stretch between Monticello and Hasty, but will be reduced to two lanes as median work is completed.
MnDOT also announced that there will be short-term nightly lane closures in both directions starting Saturday, Aug. 13 until midnight Wednesday, Sept. 1.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane at overnights on westbound I-94 as barriers are removed and lane striping is completed.
The Enfield Rest Area between Hasty and Monticello is scheduled to re-open Tuesday, Aug. 16. There will still be some work being done in the parking area, but the rest stop will be operational. It has been closed since April 25.
All work is expected to be finalized prior to Labor Day weekend.
