For the first time in 2022, Wright County has been downgraded to Moderate Drought from the Abnormally Dry category in the latest update from the U.S. Drought Monitor released today (Aug. 4). The drought in central and south central Minnesota has expanded in recent weeks and the southeastern tip of Wright County in Franklin Township south of Delano has been moved into the Severe Drought designation.
