A Message from the Wright County Highway Department:
There will be multiple construction projects along County Highway 19 and County Highway 22 in both the City of St. Michael and the City of Hanover beginning in mid-July 2022.
The City of St. Michael will close County Highway 19 between eastbound County Highway 35/eastbound Highway 241 to Carissa Lane SW. beginning Monday, July 25 to complete a city watermain and sewer replacement project. A detour will be posted along 30th Street and County Hwy 35 (see attached map). The road will be reopened in early September and project completion is estimated for early November 2022.

Wright County will be reconstructing County Highway 19 (Main Street between the County Highway 35/State Highway 241 one-way pairs, in the City of St. Michael, beginning in late-July. The improvements will enhance safety, increase capacity, and reduce delay through the corridor and include improved roadway geometrics, additional travel lanes and turn lanes, new signal systems, pavement reconstruction and pedestrian and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) improvements. A detour will be posted for southbound traffic, but open to northbound traffic. Expect delays and watch for lane shifts and traffic control changes throughout the duration of the project. The work is scheduled to be completed late fall 2022.

Hennepin County will be doing bridge maintenance on two shared county bridges, County Highway 22 and County Highway 19 over the Crow River in the Cities of St. Michael and Hanover beginning early August. The work will be completed under traffic but expect delays and watch for lane shifts and traffic control changes throughout the duration of the maintenance operations. The work is scheduled to be completed in Early September.
