First Half Property Taxes Due By Monday, May 16

Wright County Taxpayer Services would like to remind citizens that first Half Property Taxes are due on or before May 16, 2022. Wright County Taxpayers can pay their property taxes in several ways.

In Person: Our office is located at the new Government Center: 3650 Braddock Ave NE Ste 1400, Buffalo, MN 55313-3666. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Drop Box: Drop box is located on the Northwest corner of the new Government Center. It is the drive through area near the License Center. There are three black departmental boxes located there. Tax payment should be placed in the Taxpayer Services box. There is also a drop box located inside the Government Center next to the Taxpayer Services Office. It is located on the left side of the office window near our department door.

By Mail: Send to: Wright County Taxpayers Services, 3650 Braddock Ave NE Ste 1400, Buffalo, MN 55313-3666. If paying by mail, please be aware that by State Statute we honor POSTMARK for timely payment.  Please make sure that your payment is postmarked on or before May 16 to avoid penalty. Please note that most Post Offices use a servicing center so mail is not being postmarked until two to three days after pickup, so please plan accordingly as by Statute we must go by the postmark for penalty. Envelopes that came with tax statements have the old Government Center address and will be forwarded to our new facility for the next year.

Online: Go to  www.co.wright.mn.us/proptax. Enter your Parcel ID # and follow instructions. e-Checks  $1.75 flat fee. Credit Cards – Visa Signature Debit Card ($3.95 flat fee); Credit Card/Non-Visa Debit Card (2.35% of payment amount: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).

State law requires convenience fees to be charged to the taxpayers who choose to make online debit/credit card or e-check payments for property taxes (M.S. 276.02). These fees are not retained by Wright County, but rather are paid to a third-party vendor to cover the costs associated with payment services.
