A Message from the Wright County Highway Department:
Spring Load Restrictions (SLR) will be removed on highways under Wright County’s jurisdiction at 12:01 a.m. Friday, May 13.
Wright County highways typically follow the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) Central Frost Zone load restriction postings for placing and removing Spring Load Restrictions each year. However, we reserve the right to place and remove restrictions based on how weather is affecting roadway strength based on both visual observation and data obtained from the Otsego freeze/thaw ground monitoring station.
Since Wright County was put into MnDOT’s Metro Frost Zone area earlier this year, we will consider following the Metro Frost Zone for placing and removing Spring Load Restrictions in the future. Statewide information on start and end dates for state & federal trunk highways can be found at http://www.dot.state.mn.us/materials/pvmtdesign/sll/.
For questions about legal axle weight during SLR; Gross Vehicle Weight Schedule, call: Minnesota Department of Public Safety State Patrol – Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (651) 350-2000.
