Wright County Public Health has released its weekly COVID-19 dashboard for the period of Jan. 14-20 and the omicron variant continues to make its way to Wright County.
There were 1,491 new confirmed cases over the last seven days – the most in a one-week period since the Dec. 17, 2020 dashboard and the second week in a row with the highest weekly number of cases since 2020. In addition, there were 40 cases that required hospitalization, five cases that required treatment in an Intensive Care Unit and seven deaths. Since the pandemic began, there have been 32,029 confirmed cases, 1,322 cases that required hospitalization, 237 the required a stay in an ICU and 278 deaths.
