The federal government announced last week that, as of today (Wednesday, Jan. 19), a website would go live that will allow every address (home or rental property) to order four at-home rapid tests for COVID-19.
That website (www.covidtests.gov) went live with a soft opening Tuesday afternoon and is fully operational as of today.
The process is simple and takes only a couple of minutes to complete. Once at the website, hit the “Order Free Tests” button and you will be redirected to a United States Post Office page. Simply type in the contact information and mailing address – an email address for shipping notifications is optional. Then hit “Check Out Now” and you’re finished. The tests are expected to ship within seven to 12 days.
