Wright County Public Health has released its weekly COVID-19 dashboard for the period of Jan. 7-13 and it would appear the omicron variant has made its way to Wright County.
There were 1,251 new confirmed cases over the last seven days – the most in a one-week period since the Dec. 17, 2020 dashboard – along with 37 cases that required hospitalization, one case that required treatment in an Intensive Care Unit and eight deaths. Since the pandemic began, there have been 30,538 confirmed cases, 1,282 cases that required hospitalization, 232 the required a stay in an ICU and 271 deaths.
