The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced that, as of 12:01 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, winter load limits for vehicles will be increased by 10 percent on unrestricted highways in the Central frost zone, which includes all of Wright County.
Vehicles will be allowed to operate at up to 10 percent above the standard legal maximum loads during the winter load increase period. However, trucks must comply with current registration weight laws and not exceed registered gross weight tolerances.
