A Message from the Wright County Sheriff's Office:
At approximately 11:30 a.m. today (Dec. 3), the Wright County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance in the area of Highway 55 and Nevens Ave. NW in Southside Township. The reporting person informed dispatch that a male later identified as Joseph Anderson, 43, of Maple Lake had reportedly left the scene on foot and had threatened to go to Kimball High School. Anderson was reportedly suicidal and possibly armed. The Wright County Sheriff’s Office and the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office worked with Kimball High School administration who made the decision to secure (soft lockdown) the school until Anderson could be located. Anderson was located at approximately 12:49 p.m. near County Road 3 and Highway 55 in Southside Township in Wright County. Anderson was arrested without incident and will be booked into the Wright County Jail for probable cause of domestic assault. Kimball High School was notified of the apprehension and arrest.
