The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced that Highway 241 from Oakwood Parkway to O’Day Avenue in St. Michael will close starting tomorrow morning (Wednesday, Nov. 10) to repair the railroad track crossing. The segment of Highway 241 is expected to reopen Monday, Nov. 15. There will be a signed detour.
The detour for eastbound traffic will be northbound CSAH 19 to eastbound I-94 and exit at Hwy. 241. The detour for westbound traffic will be I-94 westbound to southbound CSAH 19 to westbound Highway 241.
Work on I-94 continues between St. Michael and Albertville with one lane of traffic during the nighttime hours in both directions through late-November. Lane closures on CSAH 19 between CSAH 37 and the I-94 bridge are expected to be done by next week. The ramp from westbound I-94 to Highway 241 is now open.
The I-94 construction between Monticello and Clearwater will continue to have single-lane traffic in both directions during the nighttime hours through late-November. In late November work will be suspended for the winter season and traffic in both directions of I-94 between Highway 24 in Clearwater and Highway 25 in Monticello will be fully open.
