The Wright County License Center has announced a pair of changes as it prepares for its transition from its location in the current Wright County Government Center to the new Government Center.
At 8 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, appointments for the period of Oct. 25 through Nov. 24 will become available. Instead of the two-week window to make appointments that his been in place since the state re-opened the License Center, the appointments will be for a full month – up to the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving. The next release that is made in mid-November will cover the remainder of November and all of December. Appointments will end when the License Center moves into the new building, which is scheduled for January 2022.
In addition, the walk-in hours for the indoor service counter are expanding because wait times have decreased over the past several weeks. Walk-ins will now be accepted from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The indoor service counter will remain closed from noon to 1 p.m. As has been the case since it was installed, any transactions that don’t require a photo can be completed at the outdoor walk-up window on the south parking deck of the Government Center between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 weekdays.
