The Wright County License Center has announced that approximately 600 appointments for renewing driver’s licenses will open at 8 a.m. tomorrow (Aug. 20). The appointments will cover the period of Aug. 30 through Sept. 10 (there will be no appointments on Monday, Sept. 6 due to the Labor Day holiday weekend). Appointments are served on time and walk-ins are served in the order they check in. Indoor walk-in hours are 8-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. daily. Those who are checked into the walk-in queue will be processed in order of check in and customer wait time depends on volume. All transaction types can be processed at the indoor Service Counter by appointment or walk-in. However, walk-in customers will typically find shorter wait times for transactions that do not require a photo (including tabs, plates, title transfers, duplicate licenses and DNR transactions) by using the outdoor walk-up window on the south parking deck of the Government Center between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays. The appointment portal can be found on the Wright County website (www.co.wright.mn.us) under the “Make an Appointment” tab on the left side of the main page.
