It may seem a little early to be thinking about deer hunting season, but the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is providing information about the coming archery season, which opens in six weeks (Saturday, Sept. 18) and the firearms season, which opens three months from today (Saturday, Nov. 6).
Deer licenses for all seasons (archery, firearms, muzzleloader and bonus permits) opened earlier this week and the deadline for participation in the Camp Ripley archery hunt lottery are being accepted through Friday, Aug. 20 – an event that has been modified to a single three-day event from a choice of two weekends.
