Wright County Public Health has released its weekly COVID-19 dashboard and, for the fourth straight week, Wright County has seen a reduction in the number of new confirmed cases. Over the past week, there were 282 new confirmed cases – the lowest weekly total since October. The total number of confirmed cases in the county is 11,117 as of January 7. Over the last week there were 10 cases that required hospitalization and none that required stays in an Intensive Care Unit. Both of those numbers are the lowest since October as well. The total number of hospitalizations now sits at 425 and the number of cases that required care in an ICU is at 71. Unfortunately, six more deaths of Wright County residents were reported, bringing the county’s total to 94 deaths attributed to COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
