The statewide voter registration system is experiencing issues this morning and has been going down intermittently through the morning as most county and city early voting sites have been open since 10 a.m. today. Wright County Elections said that residents are still able to vote but that the process is taking longer than it ordinarily would because instead of looking up names from the voter registration database, they have been forced to look up the voter registration data manually so wait times in line have been longer than anticipated.
As of 10:30 this morning the system was partially functional, but still experiencing some outages as the state’s I.T. team has been working to resolve the problem. Voting will be open today until 3 p.m. and until 5 p.m. on Monday to allow voters who don’t want to be voting on Election Day itself can have their votes counted.
