Those who drive from I-94 in Clearwater to Hwy. 10 in Clear Lake will be subject to a detour next week. Hwy. 24, which connects I-94 on the Wright County side of the Mississippi River to Hwy. 10 on the Sherburne County side of the River, will be closed in the City of Clear Lake from 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6 to repair the railroad tracks between Hwy. 10 and State Street. The detour will be signed and will be on local city streets, which could create traffic headaches since so many 18-wheel trucks use Hwy. 24 as a method of getting from one major highway to the other.
