Tonight on KSTP Channel 5’s Eyewitness News at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. the station will be airing a segment dealing with the new COVID-19 at home saliva testing program that was launched yesterday by the Minnesota Department of Health. The pilot project involves 23 counties, including Wright County, and one tribal nation and is free and available to anyone who wants to take part in the project.
Among those that were interviewed for the story was Wright County Public Health Director Sarah Grosshuesch. She and several other public health officials from the counties in which the saliva testing program has been made available to will help explain the benefits of the program and the ability for residents of those counties to get tested for COVID-19 for free as the state tries to aggressively combat the recent spike in contraction numbers.
