2020 Pavement Preservation Construction Update

The 2020 Pavement Preservation Contract involves the following highways in Wright County: County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 8 from State Highway 55 in Maple Lake to I-94 in Hasty; CSAH 31 from the county line west of Cokato to US Highway 12; CR 106 north of Maple Lake from CSAH 39 to CSAH 11; CR 145 from the west county line to State Highway 24, south of Clearwater (see map of work locations).

The type of work on this contract includes milling, reclaiming the existing bituminous surface & aggregate base; paving two new layers of bituminous mixture; placement of aggregate shouldering material along the edges of the roadway; and painting new pavement markings on the highways.

The prime contractor for this contract is Knife River Corp. – North Central, of Sauk Rapids, MN. Work is scheduled to begin on CSAH 8 on May 26. All work on this contract is anticipated to be completed by the end of August.

Traffic will be directed by flag people near and through the work zone. Please be prepared to expect minor delays during construction activity. A detour of traffic will only be necessary for the City utility work on CSAH 8 in Maple Lake (click here for detour map route).
