Work on County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 30 near Delano, between CSAH 13 and 3rd Street Southwest in Delano, is planned to begin on Thursday May 21st, 2020. The prime contractor for this project is GMH Asphalt Corporation out of Chaska, MN. During the project, a traffic detour will be in place and this section of highway will be closed to through traffic. Local traffic for those who live along this portion of CSAH 30 will be coordinated and maintained during construction (Click here to view a map of the detour route).
The project is scheduled to be substantially completed by October 2020, after which would be reopened to through traffic. The final lift of bituminous pavement and final pavement striping would take place summer of 2021. The project will reconstruct and widen the 2-lane rural section and construct a roundabout at the intersection of CSAH 30 and McKinley Parkway/Davidson Avenue. Culvert crossings and additional storm sewer will be installed, as well as sanitary sewer and watermain utility extensions.
