Those who drive Highway 55 between Buffalo and Maple Lake need to be prepared for a longer drive than normal starting Monday, April 20.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced that there will be delays on Highway 55 as work crews fill in an abandoned cattle pass beneath the highway.
Drivers should be prepared to stop and wait as flaggers allow alternate one-way traffic through the work zone on Highway 55 west of Colbert/Bolton Avenue NW. The lane closures will take place on good weather days Monday through Friday from sunrise to sunset.
Crews will install a new culvert through the old cattle pass, fill the culvert with gravel and then flatten the ditch slopes along Highway 55. The work is expected to be completed in about two weeks.
