The Wright County Patrol Division is the largest and most visible Division in the Sheriff’s Office.   It consists of nearly 100 deputies, 12 Sergeants, 3 Lieutenants, and 1 Captain. The Patrol Division provides law enforcement coverage to 13 of the 16 cities in Wright County and all the unincorporated areas of the County.

The primary squad car is a fully marked Ford Explorer that is completely outfitted with very modern and state of the art equipment.  Some of these squad cars are permanently assigned to individual Deputies.

The Patrol Division responds to calls for service 24 hours a day/7 days a week.  Deputies take an active role in community engagement, enforce traffic regulations, and prevent and deter crime.

The Patrol Division currently works a 10 hour/12 hour schedule with every other weekend off.  

There are 3 K9 handlers, 17 Field Trainers, 4 accident investigators, and several other positions with specialty training within the Patrol Division.
