    To make sure there is available space in each class, you must pre-register by calling Terri Burkhart or emailing. Class fees are non-refundable unless you reschedule. A minimum of ten participants need to be registered in order to hold class. Class will be canceled one week prior to class if the minimum is not met. No admittance after class has started. Child Foster Care Training & Support

  1. Child Foster Care Resource Family Training - Intro to FASD for Resource Families

    January 19, 2017, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Jail & Law Enforcement Center

    Participants will learn how Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) can impact emotional, behavioral and physical development from infancy to adulthood. They will learn the differences in brain development and the importance of early assessment and intervention. Participants will explore daily challenges at home and in school and discover effective strategies to address the emotions and behaviors of the children.

  2. Child Foster Care Family Support Group

    January 23, 2017, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Human Services Center

    Support groups are offered for Wright County Child Foster Care providers along with their own children and/or foster children from ages 0-18. There will be an adult support group along with two skills groups for children ages 6-12 and 13-18. Please note: child care will be provided for children 0-5 years old.

SUID / AHT Training

  1. SUID/AHT (Sudden Unexpected Infant Death and Abusive Head Trauma) Training

    January 30, 2017, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Human Services Center

    Please register by calling or emailing Terri Burkhart. If you are not familiar with the training location, please ask for directions and plan extra travel time. Training does not have to be taken in the county in which you are licensed. Registration is required in order to make sure that enough materials and space are available. Payment can be made over the phone. Class fees are non-refundable unless you reschedule. A minimum of 10 participants need to be registered in order to hold class. Class will be canceled one week prior to class if the minimum is not met. There is no admittance to class after 5:05 pm.
