The Wright County Highway Department
would like to inform the public of a highway construction project that willbegin on Monday, July 2, 2018. The
project location is at the intersection of CSAH 8 (Division Street East)/ElmAvenue/CSAH 8 South/CSAH 57 in the city of Maple Lake, MN. The
contract also includes storm sewer installation work along the ditch on thewest side of CSAH 8 South.
The construction improvements will
consist of the construction of a modern mini-roundabout to improve safety andtraffic flow through the intersection. It is anticipated that the construction work will last until Monday,
August 6th, weather permitting.
Landwehr Construction Inc. of SaintCloud, Minnesota is the prime contractor that will be doing the work. A posted detour route will be in place to
direct traffic around the work zone (click for detour map below). A separate truck detour route will be designatedso that truck traffic does not use the 1st Street East detour route. The contractor has indicated that they plan
on working six days a week, Monday – Saturday (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.).
The closing of the work zone will beginat approximately 7:00 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2018 and is anticipated to last
until the Monday, August 6, 2018. Pleasefollow the posted detour signing to navigate around the work zone. We
appreciate you adjusting your driving schedule accordingly.
