Highway 3 Open to Traffic, Paving to Begin in October

Work on County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 3, east of South Haven, from State Hwy 55 to CSAH 2 has been substantially completed and the highway is open to traffic with a gravel surface.  The prime contractor on this project is Midwest Contracting LLC, Marshall, MN. Due to the timely completion of the grading portion of the project and favorable bituminous prices, the first layer of asphalt paving will be completed this fall and the final layer of asphalt paving and shoulders will be completed in the spring of 2018.  It is anticipated that the first layer of paving will begin in October.

This project also includes the placement of new swing-away mailbox supports at no cost to residents. This support will be considered to be the landowner's property and any future repairs will be at the owner’s expense.  Upon project completion, your original mailbox will be placed back onto CSAH 3 on a new swing-away support.
