Wright County Public Health has released its most recent COVID-19 dashboard. Previously, the Wright County numbers were updated Thursday afternoons. Starting Nov. 30, the local numbers are updated twice a week on the county website – on Monday and Thursday afternoons. The numbers for the period of Dec. 1-3 are indicative of the surge in cases and hospitalizations that has been sweeping across the state and the country. The totals for the last three days in Wright County include 524 new confirmed cases, 21 hospitalizations, 10 cases that required admission to an Intensive Care Unit and five deaths attributed to COVID. The updated Wright County totals are 8,470 confirmed cases, 329 hospitalizations, 59 cases requiring admission to Intensive Care and 48 deaths. From the start of the pandemic in March through the Nov.5 dashboard, there had been 16 deaths attributed to COVID-19. From Nov. 6 to Dec. 3, there have been 32 deaths resulting from contracting COVID.
