As we flip the calendar to October, one of the annual rites of autumn is the vibrant change in the color of leaves, especially in the forests of Greater Minnesota. Many families make an annual pilgrimage to travel to parts of the state where the fall leaves are at their peak of red, orange and yellow.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has a fall color finder on its website, showing what areas of the state are reaching their peak, which ones are still a week or two away and which ones have moved past their peak.
