Wright County Public Health has released its weekly COVID-19 dashboard for the period ending Thursday, Aug. 7. After five straight weeks of increases in confirmed cases, the number of new cases leveled off this week at 87 to bring the county’s total number of confirmed cases to 847 since the pandemic began in Minnesota in March.
The previous five weeks had seen consistent increases in confirmed new cases (43-53-71-88-96). While the 87 cases are the third-highest weekly total since the COVID-19 pandemic began, it marks the first time since late-June that the number of new cases dropped in Wright County from one week to the next.
