A pair of beaches in Wright County parks will closed Tuesday, July 7 for preventative treatment for Swimmer’s Itch.
The beaches at Clearwater/Pleasant and Schroeder Parks will be closed for 24 hours while the treatment is done. There haven’t been any confirmed cases at either park, but the treatment is being done due to the high volume of people using both beaches. The Wright County Parks & Recreation Department is taking a proactive approach to prevent Swimmer’s Itch.
Both beaches will reopen Wednesday, July 8. Anyone with questions is asked to contact Parks & Recreation at parksandrecreation@co.wright.mn.us.
