As part of his daily COVID-19 address, Minnesota Governor
Tim Walz announced that a two-week “Shelter in Place” order in an attempt to flatten
the spread of the virus and buy more time to put other plans in place will be
begin at 11:59 p.m. Friday, March 27.
However, Gov. Walz made another proclamation. He is asking child care providers to stay open if possible to serve the families of emergency workers. That request can be seen here: https://mn.gov/childcare/
In addition, earlier this week, the Minnesota Department of Health issued guidelines for foster parents and relative caregivers. That guidance can be seen here: http://www.co.wright.mn.us/DocumentCenter/View/19086/CSP-Div-Dir-Foster-Provider-Correspondence-March-23-2020
Given the speed with which events are transforming, we
will continue to try to get as much information out to our residents as possible
in the coming days and weeks.
