With spring right around the corner, a lot of Wright
County residents will look to the annual rite of passage spring cleaning –
getting rid of some of the clutter in their houses, garages and yards.
The Wright County Compost & Recycling Facility is
now taking on-line appointments for the drop-off of all Household Hazardous
Waste (HHW) and recyclables. There is a link on the front page of the county
website (“Compost/Recycling Appointment”) that will guide those looking to
schedule a time, as well as all materials that are accepted.
The Wright County Compost & Recycling Facility is
open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to
noon the second Saturday of each month. No appointment is necessary for the drop-off of curbside
recyclables, scrap metal, tree branches, grass clippings, leaves and garden
waste, but they can only be brought in during the hours listed above.
