Only One of Wright County's 15 Townships Will Have Contested Election In March

Fifteen of Wright County’s 18 townships will be conducting elections for township board supervisor and clerk positions on March 10, but only one of the elections will be contested and one will be determined by write-in voting because nobody filed for the position prior to the Jan. 14 filing deadline.

The only ballot that will have more than one name on it will be Chatham Township where Randy Latzig and Mark Lambert both filed for a township board supervisor position. The other election of note will be for a township board supervisor in Maple Lake Township. Nobody filed for the position, so the election will be made up completely of write-in ballots.

Here is the list of those who filed for election in the different townships and the positions for which they filed:

Buffalo – Mark K. Hoffmann (Clerk/Treasurer); Colleen Ernesti (Supervisor).

Chatham – James Bischoff (Clerk); Randy Latzig (Supervisor); Mark Lambert (Supervisor).
