  1. C.A.R.S. (Children and Restraint Systems) CLASS IS FULL

    To make sure there is available space in each class, you must pre-register by calling Terri Burkhart or emailing. Class fees are non-refundable unless you reschedule. A minimum of ten participants need to be registered in order to hold class. Class will be canceled one week prior to class if the minimum is not met. No admittance after class has started. Note: These trainings are approved on the MNCPD Registry.

Child Care Provider Training

  1. Supporting Breastfeeding in Child Care Programs

    We are excited to again offer an opportunity to all Wright County Child Care Providers to participate in a free training that will introduce the importance of breastfeeding for children, mothers, and child care programs.

    Data from the Infant Feeding Practices study found that mothers still breastfeeding at 6 months was significantly associated with support from child care providers to feed expressed breast milk to infants and allow mothers to breastfeed on-site before or after work!

Child Foster Care Training & Support

  1. Depression Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

    January 18, 2018, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Jail & Law Enforcement Center

    This training provides an overview of common mental health diagnosis that foster and adoptive children often present within the child welfare system. Depression and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) will be discussed in terms of origins, symptoms, behaviors, treatment, interventions and cultural considerations. This course meets the annual training requirement in MN Statute 245A.

  2. Child Foster Care Family Support Groups

    Support groups are offered for Wright County Child Foster Care Providers along with their own children and/or foster children from ages 0-18 There will be an adult support group along with two skills groups for children ages 6-12 and 13-18 Please note: child care will be provided for children 0-5 years old Pre-registration is required one week prior to the session to ensure that the needs of all participants are met and that there is adequate staffing available
