Child and Teen Checkups (C&TC) Program

Complete and regular screenings or well-child checkups are the basis of the C&TC program. These exams or screenings are given on a set schedule to assure that health problems are diagnosed and treated early, before they become more complex and treatment more costly.

Who can get a Child and Teen Checkup?

Children and teens, from birth through age 20, covered by a Minnesota Health Care Program (Medical Assistance or Minnesota Care) are auto enrolled in the Child and Teen Checkup Program. For more information about the program, please call 763-682-8921.

Did You Know?

Some health care plans offer rewards for staying up-to-date on well child exams, vaccines, and lab tests. After the age of 3, exams are recommended yearly. Learn more about current health plan rewards

Child and Teen Checkups include…

Information on:

  • Age appropriate growth & development
  • Parental guidance

Complete physical exam includes:

  • Hearing & vision exam
  • Height, weight, body mass index (BMI)
  • Immunizations
  • Lab testing for lead, hemoglobin, and cholesterol
  • Dental fluoride application
