Parent Support

The Parent Support Outreach Program (PSOP) is a grant funded program (for 5 years) that was designed by the State of Minnesota to serve families within Wright County and several other counties in Minnesota.

The program serves families who have at least 1 child / children in the home under the age of 10. This is a voluntary, supportive, strength-based, family-driven service to families before the risk of child maltreatment is realized in an abuse or neglect incident.

Qualified Candidates
To identify candidates to refer to this program, we are looking for at least 2 of the following risk factors to determine whether the family is eligible for our services:
  • Behavioral concerns of child
  • Chemical use
  • Domestic violence
  • History of abuse, neglect, or past child maltreatment reports
  • Homelessness
  • Mental health concerns of child or parents / caregiver
  • Poverty
  • Unemployment
  • Unemployment and lack of financial resources
